The new genuine motors are excess stock from factory for relatively new vehicles, while the new aftermarket engines are produced in China, built to the exact specifications of the genuine motors. Both the new genuine and new aftermarket motors are mostly offered as a bare engine set up, so the majority of the new engines will require the engine accessories fitted to the engine before being fitted to the vehicle. These accessories include the inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, air conditioning compressor, power steering pump, and the harmonic balancer. However there are a few new aftermarket engines that are offered complete and as such are ready to be fitted into the vehicle upon arrival.
