Model: INTEGRA CC: 1797cc Year: 93-01 Description: HONDA INTEGRA ENGINE Found in the Honda VTi-R DC2 Integra is the B18C engine. This engine is easily identified as the non Type R version by the black rocker cover. The B18C features an efficient VTEC set up that engages fairly early compared to other VTEC’s @ 4,500rpm. The early engagement suits the B18C brilliantly as it is capable of revving in excess of 8,000rpm and a rev-limiter that engages @ 8,500 rpm. The B18C produces 180hp (132kw) @ 7,200rpm and 128ft.lb (174Nm) of torque @ 6,200rpm. So all in all, in stock form the B18C is pretty comparable to other 4 cylinder non turbo engines. A rival, the SR20VE for example makes 186hp (139kw) @ 7,000rpm and 144ft.lb (196Nm) @ 6,000rpm. The B18C upgrades the B16A2 easily but is commonly further upgraded by the red top B18C7 Type R engine.  |
