Used in the Honda CRX in the late 80’s was the ZC engine. The 1590cc engine came out in two different forms. The SOHC ZC featured VTEC and produced 128hp @ 6600rpm. VTEC was activated @ 5500 rpm. The ZC DOHC is the engine more commonly found in the CRX. This is the non VTEC version. The later version of the ZC produces 130hp @ 6800 rpm. The easiest way to identify the latest generation is the black rocker covers. These are commonly upgraded by the D16A1 Integra engine or can also be done with the B16A2 engine.
